    I made an important decision early in this campaign to center my efforts on the idea that my service in the Senate will not be about me but rather about US. Ohio has suffered a great deal over the past several years because our state legislature has been polarized. This us versus them mentality has taken its toll on the people of the 26th District. I believe the only way to improve the quality of life for you and your family is with an attitude and common sense approach of Commitment, Cooperation, and Consensus.

    • Commitment to the job of State Senator, the people of the 26th District, and to the principle of finding a way to create adequate funding for the education of our children.

    • Cooperation to build and strengthen our economy so that there are decent paying jobs. This is not a labor-only problem or a business-only problem- it is a 26th District problem.

    • Consensus through bringing government officials at all levels together to find solutions to the problems that matter most to you and your family.
    I have worked as a servant of the public far too long to make promises I cannot keep or lay out grand plans that will gather dust.  My past public service demonstrates my ability to identify issues needing resolution, assemble the right people to focus on those issues, and jointly develop solutions for the problems.  In addition, I will bring integrity and honesty to the legislature as your senator.
